On Thursday June 19th we were fortunate enough to have one our clients participate in a webinar sharing with participants what they are doing to get the most out of the Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software. Interestingly enough, what they are doing to get the most out of Agile actually has nothing to do with Agile. It has everything to do with how they structure their team and make role assignments.
Whether you are a PLM admin, Business Analyst, IT manager, PLM integration manager…actually any role that somehow connects to your PLM, this would be of interest to you. We were able to simply summarize what they are doing into three bullet points.
- Keep your team focused on how they impact the business.
- Find expert support options to fill in the gaps so your team does not get easily distracted from impacting the business.
- If you choose to outsource the job of filling in the gaps, choose them like you would a full-time employee. Screen for expertise, turnover rates, ramp up time, flexibility, culture etc.
