Domain Systems Brings Wi-LAN Inc., Live
on PLM
Press Release
March 15, 2004
Salt Lake City, UT
Domain Systems, Inc. an information technology systems
integrator, software developer, engineering consulting organization
and value added reseller today announced that new customer
Wi-LAN Inc. is now live on their Product Lifecycle Management
(PLM) system. Wi-LAN Inc., a global provider of broadband
wireless communications products and technologies, needed
a PLM system for speeding products to market. The overall
solution included Agile Product Collaboration 8.5.
Greg Masuda, VP Operations at Wi-LAN Inc. commented, Domain
Systems was a helpful partner in guiding our evaluation
and selection of Agile Product Collaboration. Domain's people
were extremely knowledgeable due to their industry expertise
and extensive product knowledge. They quoted a fair price,
got us up and running within weeks, trained us on the system,
and now provide ongoing support. We quickly began to see
value from our new system. It has enabled us to initiate,
communicate, and implement engineering changes very quickly,
which will be advantageous in the ramp-up of our Libra 5800
Transit Mobility solutions and, of course, in accelerating
the development of our WiMAX-compliant wireless telecommunications
systems."
Domain Systems is pleased to welcome Wi-LAN Inc.
to our growing family of customers, states Randy Pettit,
CEO of Domain Systems. Wi-LAN Inc. will benefit from
a rich set of system functionality and Domain Systems
best practice knowledge in the PLM arena. This solution
will focus on controlling and improving all items related
to bringing product quickly to market with the highest inbred
quality as is possible.
