DS11001 Universal Batch Update Adaptor
Domain Systems’ Universal Batch Update Adaptor is for customers who need to transfer information from any external system into Agile but do not want to customize and maintain an interface for a specific external system.
The Universal Adaptor processes files from the external system then updates Agile with critical item information such as ERP cost information, product lines, and/or other related system data.
It uses the latest Agile SDK technology which helps to ensure future compatibility.
The Universal Adaptor has no run-time user interface and runs in batch mode. It updates existing item master records or creates new items in Agile depending on user-configured options.
The Universal Adaptor runs on an Agile server and is built around the Agile SDK/MFC technology. The Universal Adaptor works with any external system (ERP, CAD, etc.) as long as the system can produce a text delimited extract file.
Additional T&M Services may be required for configuration depending on requirements.
DS11002 PDX Gen
The PDXGen utility reads customer data files of Item Master AML and BOM records and converts them to PDX packages in compliance with PDX standards.
The utility is designed to help leverage Agile’s import tool functionality allowing customers to convert legacy data or CAD files into PDX format for import into Agile.
The utility reads product related data from a set of text files (referred to as a job) and formats the data into a PDX package. Each job is contained in a separate directory that is named for the PDX package being processed.
Once completed, the PDX package is given the name of the job subdirectory and placed into the output directory. The utility’s logging capability keeps track of all error messages during the conversion process.
DS11003 ChangeCAST Page Three Post Adaptor
The ChangeCAST Page 3 Post Adaptor is an extension to the Agile/ChangeCAST product. It retrieves item page 3 information and passes it to the ERP system. With Domain Systems’ Page 3 Post Adaptor, Agile ChangeCAST customers are now able to retrieve item page 3 information from Agile for their own ERP. The Page 3 Post Adaptor intercepts the Agile/ChangeCAST process and retrieves item Page 3 data directly from Agile using Agile/SDK technology. It also builds and transfers the new file to the ERP system.
The Adaptor transfers the files to any ERP system set up for FTP. It runs on a Agile 6.0 or greater server running Change/CAST.
DS11004 ChangeCAST BOM Post Adaptor
Some ERP systems require BOM item revisions in order to create a BOM record. With Domain Systems’ BOM Post Adaptor, Agile ChangeCAST customers are able to retrieve the BOM item revision from Agile for their own ERP. The BOM Post Adaptor intercepts the Agile/ChangeCAST process and retrieves the BOM item revision directly from Agile. It also builds and transfers the new file to the ERP system.
The Adaptor transfers the files to any ERP system set up for FTP. It runs on a NT Agile 6 or greater server running Change/CAST.
DS11005 Batch Item/BOM/AML Extractor
Extracts specific or all Items, BOM and/or AML data from the Agile database. Depending on the filter specified in the configuration file, the application retrieves the latest revision or all item revisions of the Agile Class “parts” and/or “documentation.
If an item contains a BOM, the program retrieves the first level BOM. Each BOM is exploded based on the filter specified in the configuration file. If an item contains AML, the program retrieves the manufacturers’ AML information.
The extractor interface may be configured with various options including:
BOM Filter:
• Retrieves only those parts items and parts children records.
• Retrieves only those documentation items and documentation children records.
• Retrieves all items and all children records.
Item Rev Filter:
• Retrieves all item revisions history including preliminary items
• Retrieves only the latest item revision (only one revision)
• Retrieves only the latest released revision (only one revision)
All error messages are written to a log file during program execution.
DS11022 Agile PLM Knowledge Builder
Knowledge Builder is an Oracle/Agile PLM based application module that will allow a user or group of users to manage documents utilizing Agile PLM – as an Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS) and more specifically to manage documents at a component level – whatever level of granularity that component may be (i.e. full document, section, paragraph, sentence, etc.)
Knowledge Builder (KB) will allow for a large number of people to contribute to and share stored discrete data and control access to that data based on user roles. Revision control will be at the component level, while the complete document can be generated at any time reflective of the current or previous component configuration.
By allowing document component management, one or many documents can be repurposed (reused) into many types of output or format with minimal effort and cost.
This does not cover any functionality changes. Additional implementation effort will be charged T&M.
DS12013 Audit Report
Customer regularly generate Out of Box (OOB) product audit reports. These paper reports document any difference between items found in the audited product and the items listed on the current BOM within AgileCM (Agile 8.5).
The reports have a standard format and list of items. Currently the QA inspector manually enters onto an MS Excel worksheet the description and quantity of each item found during the OOB audit. The Inspector then logs into AgilCM, displays the BOM and verifies the quantity and part numbers listed on the OOB form. There must be a one-to-one correspondence between the list of audit items and the AgileCM BOM for a passing OOB audit. All differences are noted on the OOB report form.
This is repetitive and time consuming work. The application is intended to automate access to initial data entry and all verification of audit data entered on the form.
